I wasn't really shopping for a new tv but while shopping I came across a Great Deal on this set and couldn't pass it up. My old 32" LG works great after almost 16 years but never realized what I was missing with a bigger screen. Color, Clarity are amazing, but sound, as with most new sets is minimal. I also purchased an LG surround sound bar and "BAM" what a difference. Neighbors will be able to enjoy what ever I am watching. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've always bought LG. I buy phones, t.v.'s, and ac unit and I have never had any problems. This is my 3rd t.v. not because they messed up but we are jus adding to the house. We love it!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I wanted a larger television for when my wife and I watch programs together. My largest disappointment is that this television, verses the LG TV that it replaced, lacks a optical digital audio port, and so I can't listen to the television through my stereo amplifier unless I struggle inside by media cabinet to connect RCA jacks from one device to the other.
I have been using the TV for a while now. I'm sad to say that it is less than I expected! The ZOOM selection has a black bar at the bottom. No matter what I do, I can't figure out how to get rid of it. The colors are also not as bright and colorful as I expected. I've tried several adjustments with little satisfaction. I selected the LG over another name brand, even though the other TV had a larger screen and was the same cost because of the LG branding. I'm disappointed now that I've had it for a while. The television works fine for most things. It receives TV signals, I can use it with Roku. The manual is not very complete. There is a function on the remote for favorites. However, it does not tell you how to use it. When I called the help line, I was told tha I needed to buy an upgrade remote to program that function. Somehow I got a couple stations into favorites without the expensive remote. I’m not sure how I did it. It was not because LG was helpful.
